STAATLICHE KUNSTSAMMLUNGEN DRESDEN - ZWINGER_PORZELLANSAMMLUNG

How do porcelain, dance and fashion design fit together? The production "Museum fitting Fashion / Kunst & Mode / Mode & Kunst" aims to tell the story of museum artifacts by taking up their aesthetics and transferring them to fashion and costume. In addition, in the choreography we deal with the museum as a stage and try to create new forms of art and presentation with works of art that can only be seen in museums and their archives. To do this, we cut up images of art, layer them on top of each other, fragment them and rearrange them. We move between the installative and the performative, spherical sounds and spoken word within the lecture performance.

With the idea of transferring the history and aesthetic characteristics to other arts, we want to have a mediating effect in order to tell the stories of the objects outside of museums and make them accessible without barriers. We want our work to have a positive impact on the museum and hope to open up new perspectives on the works of art for visitors.
